The Central Energy Fund (CEF) reported that the petrol price has dropped by 69cents a litre, while diesel by 60cents a litre and illumination paraffin by 58cents. “Consumers will now pay around R12.86 a litre as of Wednesday July 5th”, Department of Energy confirmed.

The decrease is largely due to the low rate of petroleum prices in the international markets and a slightly strengthening of Rand against the US Dollar.
