Elon Musk has tapped into a new market for electric vehicles (EV) – we call it the ‘need for speed’.

At the end of an event hosted for the divulging of TESLA’s new Semi Truck, Elon Musk clutched on the chance to surprise consumers with the new TESLA Roadster 2020 – otherwise known as the ‘quickest car in the world’, by TESLA themselves.

The 0 to 60 mph in 1.9-seconds EV boasts a sprint to 100 mph in 4.2-seconds, with a top speed of 250 mph.

For now, the motoring brand could not disclose the 4-seater’s horsepower. However, made it known that the fast car torques at 10,000 Nm in 8.8-seconds.

It’s drive? Majestic! Let’s say goodbye to the EV range heebie-jeebies. A single electrical charge can take you through a 620-mile road trip with friends and family. The best part is that you can get a 360-degree view of scenic drives, thanks to a trick glass roof that stows in the trunk.

TESLA is expected to launch its blistering Roadster with a Founder’s Series model at $250,000. But, the hustle is hard and TESLA understands this. So, if you already own a TESLA, then refer a friend and you can score one for free through the automaker’s referral program.
