But, for most fast car fanatics, we are living in an automotive era with a diverse amount of performance super cars, and Mercedes seems to have broken the record in creating the fastest car in history this year.
Formula One (F1) cars are single seaters with an open cockpit and open-wheel racing drive. Its engine is placed on the driver’s rear, and is generally constructed by the racing team to be used in Formula One racing competitions.
For decades, F1 cars have run on 3.0-litre V20 engines powering 980 and 1,000 horses, with a top speed of 375 km/h at 233 mph.
Speeding onto F1 tracks this year is the Mercedes AMG F1 2017. Although the F1 car’s specifications are yet to be released, a little bird has titled the car as the fastest car in history.
